Group Counselling
&
Support Group
Small, reflective spaces for people who may feel alone in what they are carrying.
At times, being in that shared space can feel a little less lonely, and healing does not only happen in a one-on-one space.
I offer small-group counselling and support spaces for those navigating similar experiences who are open to connecting with others in a respectful, supportive environment.
Groups are intentionally kept small and designed to feel safe, slow, and not overwhelming.
-
Groups may be a good fit if you are looking for a structured, facilitated space to reflect on a shared theme and connect with others who may understand parts of your experience.
Group themes may include:
Emotional overwhelm, overthinking, people-pleasing, and self-trust
Chronic illness, disability, medical uncertainty, and health-related grief
Caregiving stress, helper fatigue, and the pressure to remain strong
Grief, identity changes, relationships, boundaries, and life transitions
You do not need to feel completely comfortable speaking in a group before joining, and you will not be expected to share more than you are ready to share. Listening, reflecting, and participating at your own pace can also be meaningful parts of the group experience.
-
Groups offerings may vary in length, level of commitment, and depth of therapeutic work. Depending on the theme, they may include:
Introductory Workshops: Lower-commitment sessions for people who want to explore a topic before deciding whether a longer group feels right. Workshops may include gentle psychoeducation, reflection prompts, grounding exercises, optional sharing, and time for questions.
Closed Counselling Group: Small groups in which the same members meet regularly over a set number of weeks. This consistent structure allows time to build trust, explore a shared theme, and receive ongoing therapeutic support.
Process-oriented Groups: Longer or more in-depth groups for people who want to explore emotional, relational, or behavioural patterns as they arise within the group experience. These groups may require previous counselling or group experience and a pre-group assessment.
Each offering will clearly outline its format, schedule, fee, group size, and participation requirements before registration.
-
Group counselling involves shared space, mutual participation, and respect for the privacy and wellbeing of other members.
Before joining a closed counselling or process-oriented group, a brief consultation or pre-group assessment may be required. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your needs, expectations, previous experience, and any concerns you may have about participating in a group.
The purpose of this process is to consider whether the group’s focus, structure, and level of support are appropriate for you at this time, while also helping to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all members.
Participation is always based on choice. You will not be expected to disclose more than you are ready to share, although respectful engagement and consideration for other members are important parts of the group process.
Groups are not intended to provide immediate crisis or emergency support. If a particular group does not appear to be the right fit, we can discuss individual counselling or other resources that may better meet your current needs.

Fees vary depending on the format, length, and level of support included in each offering. The total fee, payment schedule, and any additional assessment costs will be clearly listed on the individual group page before registration.

Introductory workshops and other psychoeducational offerings may not be eligible for insurance reimbursement, depending on the nature of the service and your benefits plan.
A limited number of reduced-fee spaces may be available for some closed counselling groups. Availability and eligibility will be noted on the individual offering page.
