Individual Counselling
A one-on-one counselling space to explore what’s been feeling heavy, unclear, or difficult to carry on your own.
Sessions are collaborative and guided by your pace, your needs, and what feels most supportive to you.

You may not have a clear name for what is bringing you to counselling. You may simply notice that you feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, stuck in familiar patterns, or tired of managing everything on your own.
In individual counselling, we may explore experiences such as:
Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or low mood
Grief, loss, and life transitions
Chronic illness, disability, or health-related changes
Caregiving stress and helper fatigue
Relationship patterns, boundaries, and self-worth
Identity changes and the pressure to keep holding everything together
You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on before beginning. We can take time to understand what feels most present and decide together where to start.
-
Individual counselling begins with understanding what brings you in, the circumstances surrounding your concerns, and what you hope may feel different through counselling. Together, we can identify priorities and develop a shared understanding of the patterns, strengths, needs, and experiences that may be relevant to your current situation.
My work is person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and integrative. Depending on your goals and preferences, I may draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and parts-informed approaches.
Sessions may involve exploring emotional and relationship patterns, examining thoughts and beliefs, developing grounding or coping strategies, strengthening boundaries, making meaning of difficult experiences, and experimenting with new ways of responding.
Throughout the counselling process, we will regularly check in what feels helpful, what may need to change, and whether the pace and direction of counselling continue to fit your needs.
