Living With Chronic Illness, Disability, and Health Changes
For adults navigating chronic illness, disability, medical uncertainty, and health-related grief.
Living with chronic illness, disability, or changes in health can affect far more than physical well-being. These experiences may reshape your identity, relationships, independence, plans, sense of belonging, and how you imagine your future.
You may be navigating changing symptoms, medical uncertainty, barriers in your environment, loss of control, or the ongoing pressure to adapt to circumstances that others do not always see or understand.
This group offers a reflective space to explore these experiences alongside others who may understand some of their complexity.
The focus is not on forcing acceptance, finding a positive meaning in every experience, or asking you to feel differently about what has happened. It is about making room for grief, frustration, uncertainty, resilience, and the many feelings that may exist at the same time.
This May Be For You If…
You may be navigating:
Chronic illness, disability, or a significant change in your health
Medical uncertainty, changing symptoms, or an ongoing search for answers
Grief related to changes in your body, abilities, independence, or plans for the future
Fatigue from repeatedly adapting, advocating for yourself, or explaining your needs
Access barriers or environments that do not fully support you
Feeling misunderstood, dismissed, isolated, or pressured to “stay positive”
Changes in identity, relationships, work, family roles, or sense of self
Mixed emotions such as grief, anger, fear, relief, hope, or uncertainty
*This group does not provide medical advice. It is a counselling and support space for the emotional and relational impact of illness, disability, and health-related change.
